At long last, we finally received another few units of the hottest wheel gun of the year: the Ruger LCR. If you’re not familiar with the weapon, here are some fun facts for you to marinate on…

[click here for our Ruger LCR photo gallery]

The LCR (lightweight compact revolver) is made of polymer, aircraft quality aluminum, and stainless steel. The Hogue grip is specially designed to reduce felt recoil and the cylinder is radically fluted to further reduce overall weight. The trigger was designed to minimize friction– and as a result, has of the smoothest and lightest double action pulls on any factory revolver.

They’re only $374– which is less than the venerable Smith & Wesson model 642. For a .38 special snub nose revolver, it’s a tremendous value… if you can find one in stock, that is! Hurry up. We’ve got 3 in stock and they won’t last long at this price. [click here to buy]

Have a good one and God bless!

The most highly-anticipated 7.62mm NATO AR ever is finally hitting store shelves across the country. The LWRC REPR (formerly the SABR) is a piston-driven, multi-role, tack-driver available in a proper sniper caliber: .308win/7.62mm. It features a heavy, free floating, cold hammer-forged barrel, Troy flip sights, and a variety of stock options– and we’re not talking about the DOW or NASDAQ, folks! There’s a crisp mil-spec trigger standard on the 12in SBR and 16in carbine versions and a superb Geiselle trigger group as optional equipment. The Geiselle is available as standard fare on the 18in Designated Marksman (DMR) and 20in Sniper models. If you really want to put precision rounds on target, there are multiple gas settings, including one that turns the REPR into a bolt rifle. The REPR will fire on a closed bolt and you can cycle the rounds manually using the beefy charging handle on the leftside of the rifle.

Prices start at $2731 for the 16in model and LWRC is now accepting more pre-orders for the REPR. Check out our new photo gallery and find out more info about pre-ordering your REPR here:

Can you DIGS it? We’ve got the new Para TTR in stock for $1968. As you know, the new Para TTR features the Delayed Impingement Gas System™ (DIGS™). “The recoil spring is over the op-rod so there is no ‘twang’ in your ear as your head rests on the rifle’s stock while the bolt cycles between shots.” That means you have almost no recoil and no need for a buffer tube in the butt stock– which allows you to run a folding stock and dramatically decrease the weapon’s overall length. Sound cool? Well it runs cool too: “The TTR’s gas system not only improves target acquisition but it also keeps the chamber area cleaner. The gases that flow through the tube inside the op-rod are expelled through the Manifold Injector System™ (MIS™) in the bolt carrier making it the cleanest running autoloading rifle in the world. ” Surprisingly, this is not new technology at all. If you’re an old school gamer, you remember Tom Clancy’s first Rainbow Six video game. This rifle was featured as the ZM4 made by ZM-Weapons. [click here for more Para TTR photos]

Another weapon that has been around for a long time but hasn’t made it to gun shops yet is the subcompact Beretta PX4. It has been in the works since 2002 and has finally shipped out to dealers. In fact, we just received our first shipment last week. The PX4 Storm Compact 9mm is about the same size as baby Glock, Springfield XD, and S&W M&P subcompacts. You can immediately appreciate the flamboyant Italian design, but like most modern pistols– the real beauty is in the subtle details. For instance, the magazine floor plate is adjustable and lowers to accommodate larger hands (see photos). The double and single action trigger pulls are light and crisp. The ergonomic controls are comfortable and easy to manipulate without changing hand positions. And at only $506, this highly anticipated offering from Beretta is sure to make waves in the industry. [click here for more Beretta PX4 photos]

This is quite possibly the most politically incorrect firearms accessory to debut in years: The Laserlyte Pistol Bayonet, made by KA-BAR. The razor sharp blade attaches to any pistol with a universal slide lock mount. It’s not very practical for civilian use– but if Zombies every attack, I want one of these on my sidearm! They have a few different color schemes available, including a Ramboesque survival model.

Thankfully, Laserlyte is also adept at making practical accessories. The new Laser Trainer Pro (LT-Pro) is just what American shooters need right now: a safe and inexpensive way to stay on point. For years, the Israeli Mossad have been using laser training devices to covertly hone their pistol skills in the field. Naturally, with the price of ammunition continuing to soar here in the States, a laser training device like this would be very well received here. Laserlyte has recognized this opportunity and executed nicely with the new LT-Pro.

Laserlyte’s LT-Pro laser trainer fits most popular calibers (9mm-45acp) and mounts inside the barrel of your handgun. The LT-Pro is activated by the sound of your hammer or striker dropping. A small laser dot will then flash for 100 milli-seconds– simulating bullet impact. The unit also works well on revolvers, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s a very rugged low profile design, so you can still train hard and use your duty holster and other accessories. I also recommend the use of snap caps.

MSRP is $99.95, but On Point’s VIP clientele enjoy the new Laserlyte LT-Pro Laser Trainer for only $62. Order one today and give it a try.

We’ve got some more specials this week including a Mossberg Mariner 590 (the quintessential boat gun), a Kahr PM40 (ideal for concealed carry), and an Aimpoint CompM4s– the latest and greatest from the Swedish firm. We’re also throwing in some pictures of my old trusty sidekick: an HK P7 PSP, hard-chromed by our former neighbors at APW Cogan Custom. Have a good one and God bless!

Last week, we received our first batch of Sig Sauer P238 compacts not affected by the frightening safety recall. As you know by now, some P238s have been recalled by Sig because deactivating the safety may cause the gun to fire. Scary stuff– especially for a gun destined to be carried in your pocket. If you still want one of these little pistols, you’re in luck: they’re readily available across the industry. We have a few more for sale and should have more units arriving soon. [click here to buy the P238 for only $458]

Before you buy, please note: the new P238 is also affected by Sig Sauer’s new magazine policy. Therefore, it will only ship with a single magazine. Another detail potential owners should be aware of is the grip material. When the gun debuted at Shot Show earlier this year, it was furnished with handsome aluminum grips. The production guns don’t have these grips. Although they look identical, they are made of plastic. As with any purchase: caveat emptor. Have a good one and God bless.

I’ve owned a Benelli M4 for a few years and believe it’s the best combat shotgun in the world. The only shortcoming I can think of is its minuscule charging handle. At one time, Brownell’s sold some over-sized titanium handles for upwards of $55 and GG&G currently produces a steel replacement handle for $25. The problem with both of these is that they spin freely in your bolt, unlike the stock OEM handles that ship with your weapon. Thankfully, we’ve come up with our own solution. My buddy John owns Victory Machine Works and he’s producing some custom parts for our clients. First up is this over-sized, knurled, and extended charging handle for Benelli M4 shotguns. It’ll also fit M1, M2, and M3 models thanks to its unique design– which is machined from a single piece of aluminum and secures over your stock handle using a single set screw. The elegant design allows you to retain the structural integrity and rigidity of your stock charging handle while increasing your surface area. The best part is the price: only $30 shipped. [click here to buy] Next, we’re going to work on a model for the increasingly popular FN SLP series, so stay tuned. The first 10 units are ready to go, so give one a try.
